Cafe LIT

Café LIT in Kuala Lumpur is a garden café at the heart of Laman Tuanku Royal Park. The café serves as a local hotspot for brunch and coffee as well as encourage its customers to learn more about the Royal Gardens surrounding it.

LIT Café’s design brief was to create a modern and minimalist logo mark that embodied ideas of placemaking, light, openness, warmth. 

Inspired by the shape of the glasshouses at Laman Tuanku, postage stamps, the LIT logo uses clean geometry to situate itself amongst a plethora of nature photography whilst still being open with plenty of negative space to allow for integration. The architectural form is a nod to the idea of placemaking - made significant as a POD of
the café by the client.

Accompanying graphics include diluted watercolour textures that feel playful and delicate juxtaposed with the hard lines of the logo.
