Global Design Forum 2025

As part of 2025's London Design Biennale, the Global Design Forum hosted a series talks and panel discussions under the title 'Design and The Invisible'.

How can outdated systems be dismantled and radical new ones forged? Designer Samuel Ross, economist Mariana Muzzucato, architect Kengo Kuma and dozens more of the world’s most exciting creative thinkers gathered for a series of talks that rethink the hidden powers shaping the world.

Inspired by artistic director Samuel Ross’ Biennale theme, Surface Reflections, the forum pulled back the curtain on these unseen drivers of design. Over three days, leading designers, architects, economists, activists and technologists shone a light on the impulses that come from within, those that lie outside, and those that connect, envisioning a future where design’s transformative power is freed from invisible constraints.

Campaign content needed to uphold the Global Design Forum's existing branding yet establish a distinct style that encapsulated this year's theme. The design concept played with the idea the seen and unseen inner impulses, blurring the lines between intangible and physical constraints. Colours were taken from this year's London Design Biennale's branding.
